Frequently Asked Questions

O365 Cloud IP-PBX is a service, hosted offsite in secure Microsoft Data Locations, offering business-class phone features using existing phones and internet enabled, voice over IP (VoIP) phones. The main attraction of the O365 Cloud IP-PBX is that it is based on an OPEX and not a CAPEX model.

Cloud IP-PBX services providers such as Microsoft include softphones and desk phones as part of the telephony service. The following benefits can be achieved by using O365 Skype Cloud IP-PBX systems:

  • Savings of 30 - 40% over traditional phone systems
  • Elimination of premise based PBX equipment, ending maintenance cost and hassle
  • VxCloud SD-WAN integrates voice and data into one network, instead of two
  • Powerful PBX feature
  • Flexibility in system configuration
  • Easy system management from any web browser
  • Employees can work from anywhere
  • Full enablement of virtual offices, saving on rent, utilities and other expenses
  • Take all of your phone system’s features with you for use at home, at the office, or on the road
In order to ensure the highest level of voice quality, VxCloud recommends that an additional 50-80 Kbps of bandwidth per active phone call will be allocated over your current data consumption. However this is not always a true reflection of the required bandwidth. Performing onsite POC deployments to perform tests is the best way to achieve the required bandwidth designs. VoIP and Cloud services providers have always split the data and voice networks but the VxCloud SD-WAN solution combines the networks and bandwidth, then adds networking services such as LTE, ADSL, Fibre and other Broadband internet networking services to create a superior Cloud IP-PBX solution. The VxCloud unified communication ready solution can utilise the bandwidth optimization and routing provided by the VxCloud SD-WAN solution to achieve the required results.
