Interconnects are the links that provide connection to all other major services providers to send voice calls. We have multiple VoIP interconnection points that can be used to make sure a call is delivered. Our VoIP interconnects are applied to all clients. We can also host other VoIP service provider SIP accounts by creating SIP Trunks with fast internet connectivity.

VxCloud will manage VoIP services including logging of calls for voice issues and resolving escalations to service providers such as Telkom, Vodacom, Cell C and MTN. All VoIP calls are logged and we can provide integrated billing systems to track client VoIP calls. Call Detail Records (CDR’s) are recorded for auditing, logging and detailed billing.

The quality of VoIP has steadily improved since its inception, and it now meets or exceeds the quality of traditional landline telephony. Voice clarity is determined by the quality of your VoIP provider and your Internet connection. VxCloud provides the SD-WAN solution that is built for VoIP quality improvements.
IP Phones are special telephones which look and work like normal telephones but they connect directly to your Internet connection without the use of a Telkom device (to convert analogue signals to digital signals). An IP Phone plugs directly into your Internet router and comes in both wireless and corded models. VxCloud VoIP users generally opt for IP Phones because they have programmable buttons which allow calls to be transferred, put on hold and resumed.
QoS is a feature of many modern routers and SD-WAN devices which connect you to your Internet service provider. Voice over IP is a real-time protocol which means that if it is interrupted by other bandwidth-intensive applications such as video, peer to peer file sharing or even sending a large e-mail it can affect the clarity of the digital audio signal.

Quality of service on your router makes sure that lower priority bandwidth like peer to peer file sharing does not interfere with voice conversations by giving it a lower priority. QoS makes sure that enough bandwidth is reserved for VoIP conversations, and it gives that conversation higher priority. In a business environment, QoS is a good idea because of the large number of applications sharing the Internet connection with VoIP. VxCloud also introduces what is called Quality of Experience (QoE). This shows the clients VoIP experience and with bandwidth, packet routing can also ensure that call quality is higher.
Current 087 and some 086 numbers cannot be ported to VxCloud but the IP-PBX from VxCloud includes a VoIP switch that allows us to still use the client 087 number on the current IP-PBX. The VoIP traffic is then routed from VxCloud back to the current services provider for inbound calling. 086 numbers are usually forwarded to VxCloud numbers. The rest of the geographical numbers such as 011, 012, 021, etc can be ported to VxCloud.
VxCloud offers a 30 day test period for clients on the VoIP service. We have one of the fasted deployment time frames with the SD-WAN solution supporting VoIP network. VxCloud will also perform onsite LTE testing to deploy the best LTE link to support the VoIP deployment.

VxCloud will outline the possible pitfalls and issues that need to be resolved to improve the Cloud hosted IP-PBX services such as networking, POE switches, Bandwidth, Client expectation and finalisation.
VxCloud as an SD-WAN service provider now includes VoIP call quality as a networking module. Our SD-WAN service also includes integrated traffic switching technology at a packet level to make sure the client experience is improved by up to 30%.
