VxCloud provides expertise to clients that required VPN connectivity to Amazon Web Services (AWS). We include Cloud VPN connectivity as part of the VxCloud SD-WAN solution allowing clients seamless and monitored connectivity to AWS. We are in a unique position to allow users access to the cloud using normal internet connectivity with Cloud VPN and intelligent Traffic Routing.

The use case scenarios includes Private Cloud to AWS Public Cloud and Public Cloud to Public Cloud design and deployments. SD-WAN Cloud VPN branch office networking connectivity to private and public clouds is part of the VxCloud SD-WAN solution.





Microsoft Azure Cloud Networking

VxCloud “Cloud Networking to Perfection” solutions are based on a redundant and well administrated SD-WAN Platform. VxCloud networking engineers are experienced in providing the client with end to end Azure cloud networking access. Azure VPN gateway networking connectivity is provided from multiple data centres while using Teraco as the network peering point.





Cloud Software Defined - WAN (SD-WAN)

VxCloud’s South African deployed SD-WAN solution supports networking transformation using the internet to challenge and enhance current network services such as MPLS and Diginet. VxCloud’s SD-WAN as a Services is deployed to multiple clients with the benefits of simplifying branch office support and providing improved head office and remote branch office networking connectivity.

VxCloud “Cloud Networking to Perfection” services includes Cloud VPN, Networking Optimization, Traffic Optimization and Security using normal internet links such as LTE, Broadband, FTTH and Others. The VxCloud SD-WAN consists of an Edge Device, Gateways for Internet Control and Orchestration for a multi-tenant user interface.

SD-WAN Edge and Gateway

The Edge is deployed on the client site or head office and can be deployed with multiple internet links including USB LTE, SFP Fibre, FTTH, Diginet and Wireless and Broadband. The gateway is the central point of communication and is deployed in the private and public cloud and is managed using the SD-WAN Orchestrator. VxCloud have done extensive LTE testing on the networking services available in South Africa including Telkom, Vodacom, Cell C and MTN LTE Internet Links.

The Gateway and Orchestrator are used to create the multiple network connections that is incorporated as part of the SD-WAN. Networking services include the connection to security cloud providers such as Zscaler. The hybrid cloud integration includes the connectivity to AWS and Azure.

Multiple Gateways can be deployed worldwide and an additional advantage is the use of the internet as the network. The VxCloud Gateways are connected to multiple internet links such as SIAX, Diginet and Local Metro Ethernet Internet Services to improve LTE connectivity to Telkom, Cell C, MTN and Vodacom.

The use case below is a client that has a combination of private and public hosted cloud services that can access the services from the branch offices using secure Cloud VPN’s. LTE and Wireless is used to create the perfect highly available branch office with user Quality of Experience. Really easy to manage – setup and go.

O365 Networking

Office 365 is designed to operate all over the world using internet connectivity. As the service evolved, the security, performance, and reliability of Office 365 improved based on customers using the internet to establish a connection to the service. We have taken cloud networking a step closer to providing cloud based networking support for O365 central and remote branch offices.

VxCloud O365 Cloud Network design is based on local internet peering to achieve faster O365 international connectivity enabling clients to utilise normal broadband (LTE, FTTH, DSL, Fibre and Metro Networking) to achieve the required O365 Quality of Experience. This will also be the case when O365 and Azure is deployed locally to South Africa. The Branch Office with poor connectivity has always been an issue for most organisations.

Customers planning to use Office 365 should assess their existing and forecasted internet connectivity needs as a part of the migration and deployment process. For enterprise class deployments reliable and appropriately sized internet connectivity is a critical part of consuming Office 365 features and scenarios.

Gartner’s recent research revealed that 78% of organizations are using or plan to use Office 365, and by 2019 half of the global deployments will face network related problems. Limited WAN optimization capability further complicate the problem and presents a major performance and productivity challenge for Office 365 and all SaaS applications.

VxCloud SD-WAN as a Service provides an essential set of features that solves the networking issues related to Office 365 and SaaS applications. The use case is based on users that require additional bandwidth to enable Skype for Business, SharePoint and One Drive for Business:

  • Deployment of SD-WAN as part of the clients current network thus allowing the client to bring their own internet, MPLS and Diginet network (Local Diginet to O365 done and tested – Current investment in Diginet can be included as part of the VxCloud SD-WAN as a Service).
  • VxCloud SD-WAN has been tested on SAIX local only Diginet networks and can now form part of the O365 Cloud SD-WAN access (Major Advantage to users that are locked into lengthy contracts).
  • VxCloud SD-WAN as a Cloud Service provider will investigate the best possible internet bandwidth for remote branch offices.
  • Select and deploy the best LTE, Wireless, Broadband, Metro Fibre and Other connections to achieve the most bandwidth access and speed possible.
  • The SD-WAN Edge and bandwidth will be integrate into the SD-WAN as a Service solution.
  • The Quality of Experience will be configured and O365 traffic will be routed to create the best possible path to the Microsoft internet peering points.
  • VxCloud also includes assistance with O365 configuration, Azure AD Connector and Migrations.
